In an event which turned out to be one of the most attended, featured mostly SS3 female students of Comprehensive High School, CHS Ukana.

The Maurice Akueme Foundation in what it tagged, The Girls End of Year Empowerment package visited the Comprehensive High School, Ukana to enlighten the teenage girls on facts and realities of life.

Speaking during the empowerment program, The Vice Principal Academics, Mrs. Amaka Nnedi commended Chief Maurice Emeka Akueme, she confirmed that if there were more persons like Akueme, the rate of crime, criminality and social vices will be at its most minimal in the society.

The Deputy Senior Prefect, Miss Onyema Success in amazement also commended the team for bringing forth goodwill, she said; “Uncle Maurice Emeka Akueme is a good man and will forever be appreciated, my mother is a beneficiary of his goodwill and today I am benefitting too, this is not the first time his team is visiting our school and I am sure that we are getting the bigger share”.

Mrs. Okoroafor Patricia during her lecture on time management enlightened the students on how to take charge of their time and plan well to shape their future. She highlighted the importance of managing time and applying good time management habit.

In her own lecture, Mrs. Ogochukwu Nwokeabia talked on Security among teenagers, she advised the young ladies to avoid dark and hidden areas and to stay off uncompleted buildings as they’re usually used for perpetrating criminal activities like rape, stealing. She also advised them to be careful of who they receive material items from and what they receive.

Madam Helen also hammered on personal hygiene, haven defined personal hygiene, she further broke down what it takes to be neat and reasons they must apply cleanliness at all times.

Lady Amaka Ozougwu capped the discussion by highlighting all that had been taught, she also taught the girls on how to apply the sanitary towel, among other female-teenage related counsels.

Books, pen, among other gifts was shared to the students as provided by Chief Maurice Emeka Akueme.

THE MAURICE AKUEME FOUNDATION (MAF) empowers the girl child, it has empowered at least 7000 girls since the inception of the girls empowerment Club Initiative, a subsidiary of the Maurice Akueme Foundation which guarantees empowering girls and churning out confident future woman leaders through Girls Empowerment programs, 1-2-1 Empowerment Support, Community Outreach, Parent Engagement, Training and Advocacy Services, Leadership.
